A promoter is suing Jeezy for backing out of a show and keeping the deposit.

Houston promoter, Darryl Austin, is suing Jeezy for $100K for skipping out on a show and keeping the $30,000 deposit. The show was scheduled for December 9 at The Arena Theater, but Jeezy bailed on the show at the last minute to attend an Atlanta album release party.

Austin says Jeezy has yet to give back the deposit. In total, Jeezy would’ve been paid $60,000 to perform. At one point, Austin upped Jeezy’s payment to $80,000 at his request, in an effort to help him keep his word.

Austin’s attorney, Troy Wilson, released the following statement, “I guess he decided he wasn’t going to do it. It just didn’t make sense to us. To take our money and simply say, ‘Hey, I’m Young Jeezy. I don’t have to do it.’ Well, in our country, it doesn’t work like that. At the end of the day, he’ll learn that it does not work like that.”

According to court documents, Jeezy and his team began backing out of the performance in November, “There was some discussion about how the stage goes around. He didn’t want the stage to go around, so we agreed that it would not rotate.”

Austin says he offered to reschedule the concert, or fly Jeezy to Houston in a private jet – but he refused both options.

Austin is asking for $100,000 in damages.
