Today, DJ Lantern decides to leave us with a remastered version of Jay-Z’ cut “The Game Is Mine.” In a press release for the remastered version, DJ Lantern tells the story how back in 2004 Jay’s manager hit him up asking him to do a commercial for Jay’s S Dot sneaker collection. To make a long story short, Lantern pitched the commercial back to Jay’s team, Jay-Z liked the beat that played out in the background and wanted to do a full song to the DJ Lantern production.
The song ended up on a mixtape in 2004, and now today Latern wanted to release the remastered version for his TBTRemastered series. Check it out below and enjoy.
