Last night Tidal subscribers tuned in to Jay Z’s much anticipated “B-Side” concert at Terminal 5 in New York City. Hov started off his lengthy set by bringing out some special guests including Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, Jay Electronica, Just Blaze, and Jeezy. Viewers were able to enjoy some of Jay’s songs that he hasn’t performed in over ten years. He paid tribute to Freddie Gray, Michael Brown, and Trayvon Martin, and even honored the late B.B. King with a moment of silence.

Later in the show, Jigga raised a few eyebrows when he took shots at a couple of his competitors. Spotify and YouTube got to feel the lyricist’s wrath when he rapped, “I don’t take no checks I take my respect / Pharrell even told me go with the safest bet / Jimmy Lovine offered a safety net / Google dangled around a crazy check / I feel like Youtube is the biggest culprit / Them niggas pay you a tenth of what you supposed to get.”

Further into the freestyle he continued with, “Oh niggas is skeptical as their own shit / You bought 9 iPhones and Steve Jobs is rich / Phil Knight worth trillions you still bought those kicks / Spotify is 9 million they ain’t say shit / ‘Lucy you got some splaining to do.”
