Jay Z Has Been Personally Calling Tidal Subscribers To Say Thank You

Jay Z has been very hands on when it comes to his new music streaming service Tidal. The rapper and entrepreneur has been personally calling random Tidal subscribers to thank them for using his service. Musician Jack White, as well as many other high profile musicians have teamed up with Jay Z to call fans. Tidal executive Vania Schlogel told Business Insider, “He called some of his fans and one of them made the funniest comment. He said ‘This is the best customer service call I’ve ever received!“.

Tidal shares subscribers contact information with musicians so they make direct contact whether it be through a phone call or email. Musicians who have there own Tidal account have access to who’s listening to their music and get the statistics on their album. Schloger also revealed that Jay Z is “very deeply involved, and the reason being is because this is a life project for him and that “he works every day” on Tidal.

Unlike some other competitors such as Spotify, Tidal does not offer any free service. It costs $9.99 a month for standard quality sound, and $19.99 a month for high definition audio.
