Today, Jay Rock release’s his first album in three years, Redemption. Following the winning streak of Top Dawg Entertainment label mates SZA and Kendrick Lamar, it’s only right that Jay is next up.
Serving at the follow-up to 2015’s 90059, Redemption comes laced with 13 tracks and guest appearances from Jeremih, J. Cole, Future, Rick Ross, and SiR. Production credits go to Sounwave, Mike WiLL Made It, Boi-1da, Hit-Boy.
Jay Rock stated the following on the new album, “I’m just here to give you the real man and just basically give y’all more of me. And just showing you my growth, that’s basically what I’m doing on this album… like I said, everything is a growing process – everybody say ‘everybody stay the same’ – but nah, you grown man, you get wise and you go through stuff, you go through trials and tribulations.”
