We Gon’ Make It, With Some Assistance From Slice’s ‘Pizza Vs Pandemic’ Campaign

Jadakiss – rap icon and former The LOX frontman (with Styles P and Sheek Louch) – takes a community-first approach on combating COVID-19 with his latest partnership.

Slice Out Hunger’s innovative campaign seeks to deliver pizza to New York and Los Angeles-based hospitals. Slice, an app that connects the world to neighboring pizzerias within their community, has made arrangements for thousands of pizzas to be purchased and distributed to front line workers fighting the ongoing pandemic.

With a career that spans over two decades, the Yonkers native is sustaining his hometown community by sponsoring a massive delivery of the doughy substance to healthcare heroes tackling the virus head on.

In this time of tragedy and confusion in the world, I would like to say thank you to the Healthcare Workers on the frontline in both New York and Los Angeles for all their efforts to help those suffering from COVID-19,” says Jadakiss in a released statement. “I am partnering with @sliceoutthehunger, @slice & @deliciouspizzahq to deliver boxes of pizza to hospitals on 5/15/20,” he continues.

Since the ‘Pizza Vs Pandemic’ campaign was introduced, over $400k has been raised to fund pizza deliveries nationwide.

To sweeten the pie, the donations funded by Jadakiss and his fans will be delivered in limited edition pizza boxes featuring his “All Crust” mantra. Moreover, the box design has a pretty unique point of origin, stemming from Slice Out Hunger’s founder Scott Weiner, who currently holds a Guinness World Record for his collection of over 1,500 distinctive pizza boxes from around the world.

The organization accepts donations as a way to help arrange deliveries, further advocating on the concept behind creating impact through nonprofit ventures.
