Stream Dreamville spitter J.I.D new song “D/vision”.
Some would say that Dream Ville records has certainly been laying pretty low when it comes to producing new music, especially since the start of the year. This may have a lot to do with the labels shifted focus on their newest signee J.I.D.
The Atlanta born Rapper formally apart of Spillage Village Records joined Dream Ville late February. For some devoted fans his addition to the team came as a surprise, and has raised a few eye brows about what direction the label is going in, seeing as though Cole hasn’t signed an artist since December 2015.
This week, J.I.D’s debuted a pretty well crafted track entitled D/Vision. On the track, his unique tone and strategically delivered lyrical flow is on display and certainly seems to fit J Cole’s style of simple yet effective bass and high keys.
The track gets production from Cole and has a laid back vibe, giving fans a chance to really dig into the lyrics and attempt to understand who J.I.D really is as an artist.
More importantly, the track was released as a way to give fans a taste of what his newest project, “The Never Story” will sound like. The project is expected to release this Friday, stay tuned!
