Every since Tupac’s hologram made its debut at the 2012 Coachella Festival, Notorious B.I.G. fans have been wondering why the “One More Chance” rapper never received one of his own. Well, it appears that there will definitely be life after death for Biggie, because ARHT Media, (also known as Augmented Reality Holographic Technology), and ByStorm Entertainment have landed the digital rights to the late rapper’s hologram.

In a statement, Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace, expressed her excitement for the hologram stating, “This project has been a long-time coming, and it is very special to me. Words can’t even capture how elated I am for the world to finally see my son again on stage and beyond. Christopher’s impact and legacy will not only live through his past work, but also the new experiences which have been made possible through ARHT Media.”

Big’s hologram has been in the works for nine months now, and will make it’s debut in Faith Evans’ music video for a track off of her upcoming duet album with Big, The King & I. On Monday, Evans appeared on the Dame Dash Radio Show and gave an update stating, “I’m kind of in the finishing stages. You know, I had no idea how I was going to even go about it but I mean, it’s been coming along pretty awesome. I definitely feel like, if he was alive, ultimately, we would’ve done something like this. But the way it’s coming together and the way I’m using his vocals, it’s just giving his stuff new life.”

Diving deeper into detail, Evans stated, “It’s totally different. We actually are in development with a hologram, but you know, I don’t necessarily know to what extent I’m going to perform with it. I definitely want to debut it in the first video for the album, and maybe use it a little bit performing live. But you know, that depends on a lot of things. “If this Bad Boy (reunion) tour ever really happens, that might be something we might consider and if I was to go on that tour, of course, I’d use it but just not over-use it.” Diddy recently announced that there will be another Bad Boy reunion held on May 20 that will honoring Biggie’s legacy.

For those who are skeptical of holograms, ARHT CEO Paul Duffy want’s ya’ll to know that his company is great at what it does stating, “We have a very sophisticated transmission technology for beaming these digital humans through the public. Internet to literally any point on the planet. These digital humans can scale to any size of venue, so it can be in a window display, your living room or it could be in a 50,000-seat arena for a real-time delivery.”
