Finally, I don’t have to guess anymore. What I believed to be just a publicity stunt seems to be real at this point. While at BET’S 106 & Party event last night, the Chicago and Detroit natives shared a quick, but romantic kiss on stage. DeJ comfortably leans in for a kiss with her arm around Durk’s neck, while he rests his arm around her waist clearly showing this isn’t a first for them. However, it is a first for their fans who’ve never witnessed PDA between the two.
For months, everyone has suspected that the two were dating. At first I thought the two were only hanging out frequently to hit the studio (remember when they collaborated for “What You Do To Me (Remix)”?) But then their relationship appeared to be more than just business when they began flirting on Twitter and posting photos together on Instagram with subliminal captions and heart emojis. The duo recently collaborated on Durk’s “My Beyonce”, and they’ve already released visuals for the music video which was inspired by the movie “Love & Basketball”.
When asked by Vibe what he admires about the “Try Me” rapper, Durk responded with, “She’s just laid back. She don’t be on that bullsh*t, know what I’m saying?”
