Skate crew and media company Illegal Civilization have shared a two-minute Mac Miller tribute video, featuring behind-the-scenes and candid footage of the tragically departed rapper. There’s footage of Mac in the studio with Vince Staples and Na-Kel Smith, at an Illegal Civ short film shoot, and hearing just how special he is from a colleague at a record release show.

Mac’s 2018 album Swimming was nominated for Best Rap Album at The Grammys, where it lost to Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy. On Wednesday, producer Thelonious Martin said that Mac recorded an album with Madlib before his death.
