Ice Cube returns with God Cop Bad Cop.
The longtime Hip Hop heavyweight Ice Cube has crept back into the music scene, releasing not one, but two new singles. The first being “Only One Me”, then “Good Cop Bad Cop”, which he dropped today.
On the track, Ice Cube takes listeners down memory lane touching on his early rap career and his time as part of the infamous rap group N.W.A. all while tying in stories of the police and how they haven’t changed a bit from when he was young.
Cube also speaks on the law enforcement’s “inability to resist their happy trigger fingers” especially against young black men. The track it’s self-brings back a very late 80’s early 90’s feel where heavy rap tones and insightful lyrics were the norms.
With the release of these two tracks so close to one another, we can only wonder if there is a project in the works!
