T.I. had nothing to do with the shooting that took place at Irving Plaza earlier this week, however, he’s taking a major L because of it. The 35 year old Atlanta rapper was set to perform in South Florida for graduates from multiple high schools on June 11. Tip had already signed a contract for the event and received $55,000 in advance. Unfortunately for Tip, promoters have now pulled the plug on the performance.

The promoters wrote a legal notice stating that because of the shooting, “the quality of the Talents services is not satisfactory to our Client.” They added that the event was marketed “as a safe environment for the students.” They are also demanding a refund of the $55,000 that they paid Tip. More than likely, it will be a while before anyone will want to book T.I. for a show, trouble seems to follow him wherever he goes. Tip does seems innocent this time around though.

Since the shooting, the NYPD has released footage that shows Troy Ave barge into a green room at the venue and open fire. He is currently in police custody and has been charged with attempted murder, reckless endangerment, and illegal possession of a firearm.
