Only weeks away from its season 2 premiere and the drama on “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” is already heating up. Mona Scott Young has added openly gay rapper Christopher Milan to the cast, and unfortunately this isn’t sitting well with his fellow male cast mates. Milan claims that Ray-J, Soulja Boy, Omarion, and Mally Mall have all given him the cold shoulder, but not because of his sexual orientation.
They feel Milan has no musical credentials and was simply hired as a “sideshow” to boost ratings for the show. Milan has worked with well known rappers in the industry, but has gained most of his recognition for his abilities as a songwriter, not a rapper. Three of the male artists on the show have already made it quite clear that they will not film any scenes with Milan, nor will they attend any promotional events where he is present.
Milan believes the other cast members are shunning him because he is gay, not because of his lack of credibility. Milan’s storyline is based on his long distance relationship with a fellow artist named Miles, whose ex-girlfriend is still in love with him.
The show premiere’s Monday, September 7 on VH1.
