Chicago’s own G Herbo who is known for his rawness releases the new single “Hood Legends.” Some might call this a sequel to Bone Thug’s “Crossroads.”
Herbo hails from the Eastside of Chicago notoriously noted as Terror Town. His music exemplifies his own personal life experiences; hence the raw lyrics and intensified bars. He even mentions Hood Legends as one of his realest verses. Many emcees rap about the streets, homies dying, and other tragedies. However, Herbo does so in a manner that’s intriguing to the ears.
In this record Herbo expresses his creative brilliance in seconds mimicking the classic sounds of Crossroads while blowing out sess smoke. Then he defines how one becomes a hood legend. Although his lyrics are gritty, his vocal delivery is somewhat soothing.
