On May 17, Chinx’s family, friends, and fans gathered in his hometown to celebrate the one year anniversary of his tragic death. Chinx’s mother, Veronica Clinton, felt it was the perfect time to call out French Montana, who she says never reached out to her after her son’s passing.
Today, French appeared on “The Wendy Williams Show” and discussed a number of topics including his upcoming sophomore album, “MC4”, his new home in Calabasas that he purchased from Selena Gomez, Khloe Kardashian, his pet monkey Julius Caesar, and Chinx’s death. Of course, one of the most interesting parts of the interview was Wendy asked French how he felt about Clinton’s comments.
French stated, “I think that’s the police job. I love Chinx mom but I don’t think we ever had a relationship. I never spoke to her when he was alive. I might have spoken to her one time. The second time I spoke to her was at the funeral and she asked me, ‘What’s going on with my son?’ I said I told him to stay out the streets, don’t be driving around 4 in the morning by yourself or with another person. She said you’re not his father. I said okay…”
French wrapped the interview up stating, “All I did was give him the platform to feed his family. I never made a dollar off him. All the money he made, I said go take care of your family.”
