Freeway is in need of an immediate kidney transplant.
In 2015, news broke that Freeway had been diagnosed with kidney failure. At the time, Freeway was very vocal about his health, posting the following message on social media, “I had a routine physical with my primary care doctor. I gave blood one day and I went on the road for the weekend.”
“Then I came back and I was at home lying in bed and I got a call from my primary care physician who told me to get to the closest emergency room because my levels was off. My kidney functions was real low and everything was just out of wack. I didn’t know what it was. I was just in tears.”
As a result of his failing health, Freeway now has dialysis three times a day.
About a week ago, the State Property rapper provided an update on his health to his fans via Instagram. Unfortunately, while at John Hopkins Hospital for an appointment, Freeway was informed that he needs a kidney transplant.
“They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for. Feeling Hopeful! At #jhonhopkins talking New Kidney 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 shoot a prayer up for ya boy!!!!”
In another post, Freeway wrote, “Meet Dr. @dorrytheexplorer he’s one of the Best transplant surgeons in the world! He’s also featured on my documentary #ThinkFree & he’s working with me to get me transplanted! He’s a All around great guy!! Shoot him a follow!!!”
