I have to give it to Fetty Wap, he has made a name for himself since stepping onto the music scene. All of his hard work and dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed, and is starting to pay off. Fetty Wap’s self titled debut album was certified platinum by the RIAA less than six months after its release.

To some people, it seems as though the New Jersey native rose to stardom relatively quickly, but Fetty says that is not the case. In a interview with Forbes, the “679” rapper stated, “A lot of people think it was an overnight success. But I’ve been pushing ‘Trap Queen’ for two years straight…I tell people all the time, if that’s overnight, that’s a long-ass night.”

Fetty is currently embarked on his “Welcome To The Zoo” tour with Post Malone and Monty. The 22 date tour kicked off on February 5 in Silver Spring, Maryland, and will wrap up on March 25 in Cincinnati.

Congratulations to Fetty!
