Fetty Wap has had quite an gratifying year, but the New Jersey rapper has no intentions of slowing down anytime soon despite his well deserved success. Fetty released his self titled debut album, Fetty Wap, on September 25, which raked in 4.7 million downloads in the United States, and peaked at number 1 on the Billboard 200 charts. While preparing for the release of an EP, the “D.A.M.” rapper also signed a long-term joint deal with Sony/ATV publishing as well as 45th & 3rd, which is another music publishing company.

Sony/ATV CEO Martin Bandier released a statement remarking, “It is always refreshing when a new artist comes on the scene with a bunch of hits like Fetty Wap has, so we are thrilled that he has now decided to become part of the Sony/ATV family. With a talent like his, there is no doubt he is both the man for today as well as tomorrow.”

Fetty Wap’s attorney Navarro W. Gray added, “The Sony/ATV partnership will create great opportunities for Fetty Wap’s music to be branded through other mediums. We’ve heard Fetty all over the radio — now we’ll likely hear him on TV commercials, too.”

This will definitely help Fetty expand his brand and get his music out there more than ever. Congrats to Fetty!
