Fetty Wap is in the headlines pretty often, but it’s his accomplishments that always catch my eye. I must say, his last great deed nearly brought tears to my eyes. The 24 year old “I’m Straight” rapper recently reached out to a 10 year old fan named Anthony who is battling a Hypoxic Anoxic brain injury after suffering a seizure at his home. Anthony has always been a fan of the “Trap Queen” emcee and wished to meet him one day.
Although Anthony may not have gotten the chance to met Fetty in person, he received a gift from the rapper that he is sure to never forget. The “My Way” rapper sent Anthony a heartfelt video, that opened up with Fetty singing a few lines of “Trap Queen”. While Anthony watched from his bed, the video continued with Fetty stating, “You and your family are in my prayers. You’re such a fighter because you made it this far. Your mom told me you’re such a big fan so you got to make sure you get well soon, buddy.”
Anthony’s mother followed up on Instagram writing, “Still in aw! My kids truly lite up when this video came through! 💕 We are a soulful household and we listen to all walks of music. But Anthony loved saying YYYEEEAAAA BABY! I remember the first time he heard it, it stuck and we had to hear it all the time.”
