Fetty Wap Ordered To Pay $1.1 Million To Former Employee

Fetty Wap’s former employee sues him.

Fetty Wap has been ordered to pay his former employee, Shawna Morgan, over $1 million dollars for defamation and breach of contract.

Morgan, who worked for the New Jersey rapper during one of his tours, filed a lawsuit against Fetty and his Goodfella4life Entertainment company – citing that he damaged her reputation and failed to reimburse her for work related expenses.

In the lawsuit, Morgan says Fetty agreed to pay her between five to ten percent of the profits he made from performances, which he reportedly never did. In addition, Morgan says she regularly used her own money to cover tour related expenses that should’ve been taken care of by Fetty Wap.

Fetty had been reimbursing Morgan for the money she spent, but the payments stopped in 2017 – leaving behind a balance of more than $242,000.

Morgan also claims that Fetty tarnished her reputation and any business opportunities after he accused her of stealing from him.

It appears that Morgan won by default after Fetty failed to respond to the lawsuit. A judge has ordered him to pay $980,000 for defamation, $66,294 for breach of contract, and over $120,000 in interest. In all, Fetty will have to cough up $1,167,065.

Fetty has also been ordered to issue a public retraction of his statements against Morgan through social media and by taking out ads in “prominent entertainment publications.”
