Fashion Nova Sues Tekashi 6ix9ine For $2.25 Million

Fashion Nova is taking Tekashi 6ix9ine to court.

Tekashi 6ix9ine can’t seem to catch a break. Following news of his expected release date, it appears that the “GUMMO” rapper will have to shell out a pretty penny to Fashion Nova.

According to TMZ, Fashion Nova is suing Tekashi for $2.25 million, after he failed to fulfill his role as their brand ambassador. In 2018, he signed a contract with the popular clothing brand, and was paid an advance of $225,000 for his services.

The agreement between Fashion Nova and Tekashi stated that he would promote their brand on his social media accounts, as well as in his music. Two weeks later, 69 was arrested on federal racketeering charges.

Fashion Nova is upset that 69 kept them in the dark about his legal woes, and feels that his public trial has tarnished their brand. Court documents have revealed that Tekashi also failed to pay back the $225,000 advance he was given, after allegedly agreeing to do so.

Now, Fashion Nova is seeking $2.25 million.

Tekashi 6ix9ine is expected to be released on August 2.
