Faith Evans will perform at Kim Porter’s home-going service.
This weekend, Kim Porter’s funeral will be held in Columbus, Georgia. On November 15th, Porter tragically passed away at her Los Angeles home after weeks of battling what may have possibly been the flu. A reported 1,200 people will be in attendance at the funeral, which will be held at Cascade Hills megachurch.
Among those in attendance include Mary J. Blige and Faith Evans, who is slated to perform during the service. TMZ reports that Evans and Diddy have a special relationship following the death of her husband, Notorious B.I.G., “Faith has a unique connection to Diddy. When Biggie died Diddy was a huge source of comfort to Faith … now she’s returning the gesture.”
Porter’s casket will arrive in a horse-drawn carriage because they were her favorite animals. Diddy, who shares four children with Porter, it set to give a eulogy.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office stated the following on Monday, “On November 16, an autopsy was performed on Porter. The cause of death was deferred pending additional tests. Porter’s body has since been released from our facility.”
