Da Baby is crying like a baby right now.
On Thursday, Da Baby was arrested and booked at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami, Florida on a battery charge. According to the Miami Herald, the “Suge” rapper and his crew were reportedly involved in an altercation with a Miami promoter at Cafe Iguana in Pembroke Pines.
Apparently, the promoter gave Baby $20,000 for a performance fee, instead of the $30,000 that he was owed. Baby reportedly became enraged and assaulted the promoter, as well as another man, with the help of his entourage.
Following the assault, Baby walked off with the victim’s iPhone 7, credit cards, and $80 in cash. The victim also told police that he was doused in apple juice during the incident.
Miami Police spokeswoman, Kiara Delva, told the Miami Herald, “He was taken to headquarters for questioning, reference a possible robbery…. We haven’t confirmed his involvement in the case, but robbery detectives were questioning him.”
After detaining Da Baby, police discovered there was a warrant for his arrest in Texas for battery charges. The warrant stems from a fight at a Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, where Da Baby and a friend reportedly attacked an employee working a food stand.
Baby appeared in court on Friday, where he was denied bond due to the outstanding warrant.
