Lil Kim shoots down her alleged beef with Eve.
While Eve and Lil Kim may be good friends now, their friendship didn’t come easy. During a recent appearance on The Talk, Eve revealed Kim curved her the very first time they met. Eve had just signed to a record label, and was hoping to feature Kim on one of her tracks – but says Kim brushed her off.
“When I first started in the business, I had been a big big giant fan of Lil Kim. I just thought there was this sisterhood in the music business. So, I would run up to her and be like, ‘Hey girl, I love you so much. I just got signed. Can you please be on my album? And she would just look at me [disinterested] like, ‘Uh huh, yeah, ok.'”
“I kept going up to her, kept going up to her, and finally I was like, ‘Ok I should stop. I should stop going up to her.’ And I don’t think it’s that she hated me, I think I was just so overexcited to see her. One day, we sat across from each other and we bonded over our dogs, we bonded over other things, and I love Kim so much now.”
After the episode aired, Lil Kim took to Twitter to give her take on Eve’s comments. According to Kim, there is no bad blood between her and Eve, and says there never was.
The “How Many Licks” tweeted, “Why do you girls always do this to me?Trying to make me out to be the bad guy?I don’t remember it that way at all🤔@TheRealEve is my girl that’s my baby y’all.We are not fighting. We are real friends.We can have this debate and still cuddle on the couch and watch a movie 2gether.”
