Since the very beginning, Erica Mena and rapper Bow Wow have been very open about their relationship. The gushed over each other on social media, even revealing plans about walking down the aisle together (which was supposed to happen back in April), and having baby fever. In July, Bow Wow expressed that he wanted to start a family with the former Love and Hip Hop: New York star, taking to his Facebook page posting, “My wife is the best thing to happen to me. Love you momma bear! It’s baby season.” The couple’s wish to have a baby came true very quickly, but sadly ended too soon.
On Thursday, Mena took to her Instagram to reveal that she and fiance Bow Wow suffered a miscarriage four months into her pregnancy. She shared the news in a heartfelt poem on Instagram writing, “So quickly you came into my life, so quickly torn away. Never got the chance to meet you, there’s so much I want to say. When there once was joy and happiness. Is now sadness, guilt, and pain. All these thought running through my head. It’s enough to drive me insane. Though you lived in me for only 4 months. You were loved so very much. I wish that I could hold you. I long to feel your touch. On that day. My world was ripped from under my feet I pray that in another life. We get the chance to meet.” Mena revealed that sharing the news helped her get through the tragic ordeal tweeting, “I’m open about it. I know I’m not the only one. Speaking my mind has always helped me deal & heal. So I’m NEVER Ashamed. Can you say the same?”
Her fiance seemed to feel otherwise. In a now deleted video posted on Instagram, Bow Wow slammed Mena claiming that she was just “seeking attention” on social media stating, “I feel like it’s attention seeking, especially when it’s news that happened five months ago. It’s not recent, it’s five months ago. You don’t wait till now, do it when it happens. Five months ago, this ain’t nothing new.” Mena has yet to respond to Bow Wow’s jabs. However, she recently deleted all photos of his photos off of her Instagram account as if no one noticed. These two have been taking shots at each other on social media for awhile now, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they are broken up already or on the verge of it.
