Ella Mai recruits Chris Brown for “Whatchamacallit.”
In the past, Ella Mai has expressed her admiration for Chris Brown and how much she loves him as an artist, “Vocally, he’s amazing. If he didn’t come out the way he did and make the music that he did, I think I would be a completely different artist. He’s influenced an entire generation.”
In an effort to make her dream come true, Ella teams up with Breezy for her new track, “Whatchamacallit”, which is slated to appear on her self-titled debut studio album. Whatchamacallit serves as the followup to Mai’s hit singles “Boo’d Up” and “Trip.”
Mai’s album will arrive October 12, and will feature 15 tracks and guest appearances from HER and John Legend. You can pre-order it here.
