After months of speculation, Draya Michele has confirmed she is pregnant! The 30 year old model and Mint Swim owner is expecting a baby boy with her fiance, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick. Michele told PEOPLE magazine, “I’m not sure what made me decide to take a home pregnancy test, but I decided on taking two at the same time! They were both positive and I was instantly excited.”
Michele also revealed that she already knows the baby’s gender stating, “We made an appointment to see the sex of the baby for 16 weeks, but surprisingly at 12 weeks, our doctor was able to see that he was a boy. Technology and ultrasound machines are much more advanced then 13 years ago when I had my first child.” Now, 13 weeks pregnant, and in her second trimester, Michele admits to only experiencing sickness for a few weeks and is currently “feeling great” stating, “I wasn’t sick for longer than three weeks and I’ve been dieting and keeping up with cardio to keep my weight down. I really enjoy nap time since I’m still working full time.”
Michele, who already has a 13 year old son, Kniko, immediately picked up on the changes in his mother’s health. Feeling bad about keeping a secret from her son, Michele broke the news to Kniko, who is excited to meet his little brother and teach him soccer. Scandrick is the father of 6 year old twin daughters, Taylor and Tatiana.
Michele will welcome her bundle of joy in late April. The ex Basketball Wives reality star gushed stating, “We are preparing for a Taurus baby. He’ll be the first Taurus in our family of four Aquarius and one Capricorn (almost Aquarius)!”
Although Michele will be sporting a baby bump for the next few months, she plans on working on a 2016 summer collection for Mint Swim, and has a few movies premiering, as well as a TV show.
