Whooooaaaaaaa, Drake is killing it! The OVO King’s mixtape/album “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” is the first release in 2015 to hit platinum status. According to Nielsen Music, IYRTITL has reached 1.007 million sales in the United States as of Monday. This is Drake’s fourth album in a row to go platinum following 2013’s Nothing Was The Same (1.72 million), 2011’s Take Care (2.26 million), and 2010’s Thank Me Later (1.8 million). The last album to reach platinum status was Taylor Swift’s 2014 album 1989 which sold 1.463 million in 2015.

A very proud Drake took to his Instagram to congratulate himself on the accomplishment writing, “Platinum off the tape. Views up next. Thank you once again.” I bet Meek Mill doesn’t have anything to say about this! I wonder if Drake will top this newly found success with his much anticipated album Views From The Six, which is expected to be released this year.

Congratulation Drizzy!
