I have to admit it, it’s pretty hard for me to imagine Drake bullying anybody. But recently, in his hometown of Toronto, a couple of fake paparazzi ruffled the 6 God’s feathers and he lashed out. Amateur photographer Matt Small was taking photos of the sunset when a helicopter landed in a fenced off lot in front of him. Drizzy then stepped off with two identically dressed woman behind him. Small says he began to snaps photo’s of the “Back To Back” rapper, and that’s when things went south.
A member of Drake’s entourage approached Smalls believing that he was a professional paparazzi photographer. Smalls then explained he was “nobody”, and that he didn’t even have a camera that celebrity photographers use. As Smalls continued to take photos, Drake proceeded to take off his fur coat and approached the 6 foot barbed wire fence to get face to face with Smalls.
Smalls told The Toronto Star that Drake stated, “You need to delete those pictures out of respect.” Small replied back stating, “You’re not respecting me right now man, you’re in my face harassing me.” At this point, an angered Drizzy continued to demand that small delete the photos before one of his goons reached out and tried to snatch Smalls’ memory card. That’s when another amateur photographer,(who also works as a doctor) Michael Massie, who was standing nearby came to Smalls’ aid and threatened to call 911.
Massie stated, “I went up with my phone up, 911 dialed but not calling it yet. I said, ‘Whatever’s going on, someone tell me, otherwise I’m calling the police right now.’ And the first person who comes up to me is Drake. And Drake says, ‘Your buddy has to give us his memory card and delete his pictures.’ I said, ‘I don’t even know him.’ He goes, ‘You’ve gotta get rid of your pictures, too.’”
Allegedly, before leaving the scene, Drake pointed back at the photographers after asking them their first name, and stated, “I’m going to find you.” Small says he reported the incident to the police the next morning, but they told him there wasn’t much they could do.
