At this point, I can guarantee you that Meek Mill wishes he never took shots at Drake. He has clearly started a war that he is far from prepared for. In the wee hours of the night, while we were all catching up on some zzzz’s, the OVO king cleverly uploaded a new Meek Mill diss track titled “Back 2 Back” onto his Soundcloud. If you thought Drizzy came for Meek with “Charged Up”, his new “Back To Back” freestyle will leave you stunned.
Drake took jabs at his Philly woe rapping, “This for y’all to think that I don’t write enough /They just mad ‘cuz I got the midas touch / You love her, then you gotta give the world to her / Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour / I know that you gotta be a thug for her / This ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more / Yeah, trigger fingers turn to twitter fingers / You getting bodied by a singing nigga / I’m not the type of nigga that’ll type to niggas / Shout out to all my boss bitches wife-in niggas / Make sure you hit him with the prenup / Then tell that man to ease up”.
Surprisingly, Meek hasn’t responded to either one of Drake’s diss track’s, nor Safaree’s “Lifeline”. Last night, Meek was in Toronto performing alongside Nicki Minaj for her Pinkprint Tour, despite rumors that Drizzy had him banned from the city.
This entire beef has been quite hilarious from the very beginning. I’m going to just sit back and wait for Meek to break his silence. He may need a ghostwriter to top Drake’s bars.
