DMX has been ordered to pay restitution.

After pleading guilty to tax evasion back in November, DMX has been sentenced to 1 year in prison. The judge has ordered X to pay a hefty restitution bill to the tune of $2.3 million – two months after he is released from prison. He will be allowed to pay 10% of his monthly income in monthly installments to the IRS.

DMX will serve his time at Danbury Federal Correctional Facility, which is the same prison that inspired the Netflix hit series, “Orange Is The New Black.” Upon being released, the judge is mandating that X complete outpatient drug abuse and mental health programs. In addition, the judge added three years of supervised release one DMX is out of prison.

Prior to being sentenced, DMX’s attorney, Murray Richman, played his song, “Slippin”, to shed a little light on some of the hardships that his client has faced in life. Unfortunately, it didn’t sway the judge to lighten his sentence.
