Diddy loves the kids! On Monday, the 46 year old Hip Hop mogul opened a charter school called Capital Prep in Harlem. The school is a part of a small charter network called Capital Prep Schools that expands from Connecticut to East Harlem.

The founder of the charter network, Steve Perry, PhD, opened the ceremony, stating, “The idea for the Harlem academy came to me through a person I never met, but always admired, a gentleman named Sean P. Diddy, Puff Daddy Combs!” Diddy then made his way to the stage to give a ten minute speech.

Some of his most notable words were, “I want Harlem to have the best schools, the best of everything. Instead of me complaining about education, I want to do something about it. So that’s why I’m starting this school.”
