Q: What was it like growing up in Colorado?

A: Growing up was really cool because I grew up during the point where it was the growth of Colorado, it was like the gold rush. Everyone was moving there once we legalized weed for recreational purposes. The music was just growing on the local level and I started to grow with it.

It’s like you got two different worlds.

There’s always stuff to do in the city but then there’s that get away aspect, that peaceful vibe.

Q: What inspired you to pursue a career in music?

A: I’ve always had a passion for music, I’ve been writing since I was eight-years old.

I love all the different types of genres.

My favorite part of music is songwriting. I think if you can be the best songwriter, you can relate to more people and that’s what I love about music.

I love grabbing inspiration from my experiences in life.

Q: How would you describe your sound?

A: I want to represent the whole region with my sound.

It’s a happy, fun vibe, a real good-time overall if that makes sense.

Q: Talk to me about your song “X10” featuring Tory Lanez?

A: We came up with the song in Denver initially.

Once we decided on the beat, I showed it to my manager and we ended up linking with Tory the day after he dropped his album.

He came in, dropped his verse and the rest is history.

Q: How did you decide on the name of your forthcoming project Wrong Feels Right?

A: It really comes from all my music, kind of like an everything that’s wrong always feels right vibe.

I feel like that is what’s happening in society now and what I was going for far as perception of the album.

Q: How do you feel about clout chasing?

A: I’m never mad at anybody for doing whatever they do to get where they’re going, I’m one-hundred percent there with you. Far as doing things for clout, you’re here one day and gone the next day.

I feel like if you take time to create a brand, create your sound, have an identifying characteristic about yourself, you will make it longtime.

Even if you don’t make it now, two years from now a label might see you, you have a portfolio built up, didn’t do anything clout-related to tarnish your reputation, that’s all it takes.

I’m more of coming to the labels when I have leverage, something to bring to the table.

Q: Are there any other artists in the industry you look forward to working with?

A: One of my biggest inspirations is Chance The Rapper, another artist would be Smino.

Tierra Whack, a lot of people who have a different style of sound.

It’s always good to have a wide variety, a different mixture of things so that everyone can have something that they like.

Q: What has been one valuable lesson that you’ve learned along your journey in music?

A: I was so wide-eyed in thinking that talent alone is what would get different labels attention but then I realized that it’s a lot more to it.

A lot of the times you have to build relationships, sometimes it’s about who you know.

Q: What does the remainder of 2019 have in store for you?

A: I got a new single coming out this summer, video will be releasing soon.

Album cover, album date coming soon as well.

I’m really going overdrive with the promotion and yeah, drop this album, it’s been long-awaited.
