Curren$y recently appeared on N.O.R.E.’s Drink Champs podcast as a special guest and told a story about the time that he drunk too much of Lil Wayne’s lean… by accident.
While on tour with Weezy, back when he was signed to Young Money, Curren$y says he was playing a game of pick-up basketball when he suddenly felt the need to quench his thirst. Eager to get his hands on something cold, Curren$y grabbed a bottle of Hawaiian Punch from the tour bus’ fridge and guzzled it down, not realizing that Weezy had already opened all of the bottles and spiked them with lean.
Curren$y stated, “So I ran in basketball thirsty and f*ckin’ downed one of them b*tches … and [Lil Wayne] came on the bus and was like ‘Oh Lawd’ because he know I don’t f*ck with it … He was like ‘Spitta, you probably about to die my n*gga’ because I had drunk the whole thing.” After watching a movie, Curren$y says he fell asleep and woke up 18 hours later in Miami. “I woke up in Miami on the bus by myself … They just left me on the bus. They was like, “Yo we really were scared. We left you because we kinda thought you might’ve been dying.”
