The mother of Chris Brown’s one year old daughter Royalty, Nia Guzman, has filed legal documents seeking full custody of their child together. It seems as though these two just can’t get on the same page. Guzman believes that 26 year old Brown isn’t responsible enough to care for Royalty on his own and that him and all his friends suffer from substance abuse issues. She is asking the judge to only allow him to see their child when someone else is around. If the judge rules in Guzman’s favor, Brown will only be allowed supervised visits with Royalty.
Brown believes Guzman is seeking full custody in an attempt to receive a increase in the child support she is receiving from him. She is currently receiving $2,500 a month, but back in March she demanded that it be increased to a whopping $15,000. Brown agreed to pay $10,000 a month, but refused to pay in July when Royalty was sent to his mother, Joyce Hawkins, when he was expected to visit.
I’m not going to lie, after two home invasions in a matter of six months, I would be concerned for the safety of my child too. Hopefully Guzman and Brown can work out their differences for Royalty, who remains innocent in this entire ordeal.
