Chief Keef may not be your typical household name, but his fan base is tremendous, and the 20 year old Chicago native has proven time and time again that he has a good heart underneath his gangsta demeanor.
A few days ago, while spotted out with his squad, a fan approached Keef’s vehicle and received quite a surprise. Instead of Keef gifting the fan with a autograph or a picture, he took off the shirt he was wearing and nonchalantly tossed it to the man. It was nice to see a rapper let down their wall for once and do something heartwarming. Back in February, Keef comforted an emotional fan backstage during a meet and greet session. He even offered the young fan a few words of encouragement, telling him, “I only got the chance to be a rapper. This is what I can do, but you could do something way better.”
Over the weekend, Keef raised a few eyebrows after he cancelled a show in Cincinnati, Ohio. Reports claimed that the “Dolo” rapper missed the performance because had overdosed on lean. (Lean is a codeine-based prescription cough syrup that is usually mixed with soda, and sometimes Jolly Ranchers to achieve a high).
Fortunately, Keef instantly to took to Instagram to shoot the rumors down, writing, “Mf say they saw me overdose. Bosses like me Dont OD. No such thing! Im finna pour a pint now give me a second. Just poured 13 ounces of the Hardt In The Sprite. Still Got 4 PT’s Left!” Keef has yet to release a statement addressing why he cancelled the show. However, it’s clear that he is alive and well, and has NO intentions of cutting lean out of his life anytime soon.
