Each year, the Grammy Awards are an important display of which musicians were the most celebrated in the year prior. At times, it can be easy to predict who will take home the industry’s biggest wins. As a general rule of thumb, if Taylor Swift is nominated, she’s winning. Despite some messiness in their show like every award show, the Grammys are still one of the most important ceremonies in music. Most musicians grow up wishing to one day be awarded a Grammy. Yes, some won’t get to live out that dream, a select few are chosen every year to take home the gold for music. Alicia Keys was recently announced as this year’s host. As a follow up to that announcement, the performers have all been confirmed.
a few of the top artists from 2018 will be taking the stage at the Grammy Awards.
Hip-hop will be represented by:
- Cardi B
- Post Malone
Which could have been predicted pretty easily given their 2018 year when it came to their music. We will also be witnessing shows from Janelle Monae, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Kacey Musgraves and Dan + Shay.
For many of the performers, they are nominated for the first time in their careers. It must be an amazing feeling to be both nominated and performing at the biggest show in music.
This year’s 2019 ceremony will air on February 10.
