Cardi B and Offset may have already tied the knot.
Back in October, during Powerhouse in Philadelphia, Migos’ Offset got down on one knee in front of thousands of fans onstage and proposed to Cardi B. The proposal was unforgettable, and fans were ecstatic to have shared such a special moment with the “Bodak Yellow” rapper.
Turns out, the occasion wasn’t as special as we all thought. When the “Bosses Don’t Speak” rapper publicly asked Cardi to be his wife, the two stars had already been officially married for a month and were simply pulling a publicity stunt at that point.
On Sunday, Migos won “Best Group” at the BET Awards. During their acceptance speech Offset stated, “I thank my wife. You should thank yours.” Clearly, he meant just that.
Apparently, Cardi and Set hired an officiant and tied the knot the very same day that he asked her to marry him. The secret ceremony took place at their home, with only Cardi’s cousin there to witness it go down. At the time, they had no rings – but Offset promised to buy her one. The huge engagement ring that was captured by the media was all for show.
But don’t fret, Cardi is still going to get the wedding of her dreams. After giving birth to a baby girl next month, Cardi and set will reportedly throw a huge celebration with family and friends.
