Inglewood, California rap group Cali Swag District has sadly suffered yet another tragedy. Three years after losing member Montae “M-Bone” Talbert, 22, due to a drive by shooting, they are faced with a loss again. Cali Swag District member Cahron “JayAre” Childs, 25, who suffered from sickle cell anemia, was admitted into the hospital Thursday night for unknown reasons. Hours later he suffered cardiac arrest and died. One of the groups remaining members Corey “General Da Smoove” Fowler expressed his grief on his Twitter page tweeting “sickle cell took my brother away from me today.”
Cali Swag District is known for their debut hit “Teach Me How To Dougie” which was released in 2010. The song was a huge success leading them to number 28 on Billboard Hot 100, as well as going Platinum in the United States.
Earlier this year the group released a new mixtape titled “The District” which featured collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, Waka Flocka Flame, Problem, and Nipsey Hussle.
