New York rapper Busta Rhymes, 43, was arrested yesterday after throwing a protein drink at a gym employee at the Steel Gym in Chelsea, New York City. Busta reportedly got into an argument with the employee and felt it was necessary to throw a bottle of Lean Body Protein at him. Consequently, Busta was arrested and charged with second degree assault. The victim refused medical treatment, but a New York City Police Department spokesperson stated that he suffered a laceration to the forehead.
Like most celebrities, Busta didn’t sit behind bars long, and was sure to let fans know when he was a free man again. Busta took to his Instagram stating, “Thanks to everyone who helped expedite this evening for me. I’m good and we’re back to the grind. Heading 2 the studio 2 turn the bullshit into GREATNESS. I’m super good. #THECONGLOMERATE.” His lawyer, Scott Leemon, stated the incident “is another attempt to take advantage of Busta’s celebrity status.”
