Buckshot details cleaning Sean Price’s body after he passed away.
Almost a year ago, rapper Sean Price of the Hip Hop group, Boot Camp Clik, passed away. It was revealed that Price, 43, had passed away in his sleep from natural causes, but that didn’t ease the pain of the devastating news. Price’s death was confirmed by his wife Bernadette via Facebook, which was followed up with a statement from Duck Down music label.
With the one year anniversary of Price’s death approaching, DJ Vlad sat down with Boot Camp Clik leader and Price’s good friend, Buckshot, for an exclusive interview. During the sit down, Buckshot recalled the moment he learned of Price’s death, “I was supposed to go to Canada for a show and [sic] had called my phone and it was like 8 in the morning and said ‘Yo, this n***a Ruck died.'”
Buckshot says that he was astounded as he headed to Price’s home, where he saw his friend’s lifeless body still lying in his bed. Buckshot stated, “His leg is shaped like a P, like he in a P position. I look in his eyes; I had to close my man’s mouth, I had to close my man’s eyes.”
Being that Price had an Islamic background, Buckshot wanted to be respectful and perform a funeral ritual also known in Arabic as a Janazah. Buckshot told Vlad, “I had to actually clean his body, me, Steele and Tek. I give respect, and that was harsh. You know what I’m saying? To clean your man and your like ‘Yo, I’m cleaning my man, and he’s gone.'”
