The musical world has lost yet another beautiful soul. Charmayne Maxwell also known as Maxee, of the 90’s R & B group Brownstone has passed away at 46. Reportedly Maxwell died on Saturday from a mysterious fall. Authorities have listed her death as a accident, no other details have been released.

Maxwell’s brother Brandon confirmed the news on his Twitter tweeting “R.I.P my beautiful sister Charmayne “Maxee” Maxwell ?????? I can’t even believe I’m typing this right now.. Bad things happened to the most innocent people. My sister died in the most terrible way and I’m in so much pain right now. I can’t stop shaking … I’d love to be with my nephew Nicolaj right now.. ???? I feel bad that he has to deal with the loss of his mother at such a young age.” He also slammed rumors of his sister committing suicide.

Brownstone was signed to Michael Jackson’s label MJJ Music Label. The trio rose to fame in 1994 with their song If You Love Me. The song earned them a Billboard Music Award as well as a Grammy nomination.

Maxwell is survived by her husband, Danish music producer Carsten Soulshock, and their young son.
