Mississippi rapper Lil Lonnie has passed away.
Late last night rising Mississippi rapper, Lil Lonnie, born Lonnie Montrel Taylor, was shot and killed. Lonnie was only 22 years old.
According to MS News, shortly before 10:30 p.m., officers responded to Montebello Drive where a car had crashed into the front of a home. Apparently, Lonnie had been driving when he was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect, causing him to crash into the home.
Sadly, Lil Lonnie was pronounced dead on arrival. A woman who was in the car with Lonnie was uninjured. Authorities claim that Lonnie’s vehicle was fired on from the bar, indicating that the shooter(s) were probably following him down Montebello Drive.
Prior to his death, Lil Lonnie posted the following crytic message on Instagram, “No going back,…you know imma keep it coming.”
Lil Lonnie rose to fame in the South following the release of his They Know What’s Goin’ On.
No suspects have been arrested and a investigation is ongoing.
