On Saturday, Boosie Badazz had to cancel a concert in Albany, Georgia due to a health scare.
The 33 year old “Show Da World” rapper suffered a severe bout of dehydration and had to be rushed to the hospital just before his show started. Via Instagram, Boosie posted a video updating fans on his condition, stating, “I wasn’t able to make the show last night. On the way to the show, I got real sick, real dehydrated. I started throwing up … [I was] rushed to the hospital. I got real sick. About to check out now. I’mma make it up to you — however I’ve got to make it up to you.”
Boosie’s health has been quite rocky for some time now. Last November, Boosie revealed that he had been diagnosed with kidney cancer, and underwent successful surgery to remove it. Post-surgery, Boosie wrote a heartfelt message to his fans, “I want to thank each and everyone for all the support and love! Surgery went well..God is good! Next step recovery! Cancer has been removed from Boosie kidney… Thanks to all Boosie family and friends and all my real Boosie fans for all the prayers from #badazzmusicsyndicate… I am a #cancersurvivor 🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀.”
Boosie is also a diabetic, however, it is unclear if that played a role in his recent hospitalization.
An Albany newspaper revealed that fans who purchased a ticket will receive a refund of 50 percent. Despite Boosie’s absence, Keyshia Cole still performed her set. About 700 tickets were purchased in total.
