The tension between Drake and Tory Lanez has been brewing for a few months now. Back in December, Lanez dropped a new mixtape titled, “The New Toronto”. As expected, he got a reaction out Drizzy, who dissed the 23 year old “Say It” singer on “Summer Sixteen”, rapping, “All you boys in the new Toronto wanna be me a little.” The following month, Lanez shut down rumors that he was beefing with the 6 God, stating, “I’d never diss him…I’m a fan.”

While preparing to release his debut studio album, “I Told You”, Lanez has made sure to consistently drop off new tunes to keep his fans busy. However, Drizzy’s producer and right hand man, Boi-1da, is hardly impressed. Taking to Twitter to air out his frustrations, 1da tweeted, “If I hear one more terrible dancehall attempt of a song I’m out.”

Lanez, who clearly knew 1da was referring to his new track “Luv”, instantly responded back with a link for 1da to go download and purchase the song on iTunes. 1da instantly followed up with a photo of the Pokemon Ditto, who can take on the talents of its enemy and use them against him.

it’s no secret that Drake has mastered the Caribbean style in his tracks “Hotline Bling”, “One Dance”, “Controlla”, and “Too Good”. In 1da’s eye’s, Lanez is a total copycat and is only trying to bite Drizzy’s style. Stay tuned to see how all of this plays out!
