Bobby Shmurda pleads guilty to yet another charge.

Yesterday, during a hearing at Bronx Supreme Court, Bobby Shmurda admitted to Judge Marc Whitten that he attempted to smuggle a shank into prison.

The 22 year old Brooklyn rapper plead guilty to one count of attempted promoting of prison contraband and will serve an additional 1.3 – 4 in prison for the charge.

The sentence will run concurrent to the 7 years he was given after pleading guilty to conspiracy and weapons charges.

On June 21, 2015, Shmurda’s girlfriend at the time, Kimberly Rousseau, went to visit him at the Anna M. Kross Center on Rikers Island and tried to slip him a homemade blade. Prison guards reportedly witnessed Rousseau pulling a “sharp metal object” out of her bra and attempting to slide it to Shmurda.

Shmurda told Whitten that Rousseau transferred the weapon inside a white latex glove balloon wrapped in tape during their visit.
