Rapper Bobby Shmurda, real name Ackquille Pollard, is in trouble with the law yet again. Shmurda, 20, rose to fame with his song “Hot Boy”. He is also well known for a dance he made up called the “Shmoney Dance”. Wednesday, Shmurda and his GS9 crew were arrested at the same studio where Tupac was shot in the lobby, Quad Studios. How ironic.

Shmurda appeared in court Thursday where he pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy, reckless endangerment, and gun possession. He was also hit with a number of additional charges including shootings, drug related activity, and murder. Police have stated they found two handguns, and crack cocaine found in a parked car Shmurda was sitting in after leaving Quad Studios. A total of 15 defendants were arrested during the sting. Ten of those arrested were with Shmurda.

The Miami born rapper is being held at the 71st Precinct in Brooklyn on a $2 million dollar bail and due back in court Thursday for arraignment. His label Epic Records claim they will help him make bail. Kudos to Epic Records for standing by and supporting their artist!

The rappers lawyer, Howard Greenberg says that the charges are unfolded. Greenberg told the Associated Press “Does it make sense that he would resort to committing crimes when he has the world in the palm of his hand? It’s ridiculous”.

Shmurda has already been arrested earlier this year on gun related and drug charges.

Hopefully Shmurda’s lawyer can work out a good deal for him!
