Cash Money Records CEO Birdman, born Bryan Williams, denies having any involvement in the plot to kill Lil Wayne despite their ongoing beef. On April 26, Wayne’s tour bus was shoot up in Atlanta following an appearance at a club. Sources close to both Lil Wayne and Birdman revealed that Birdman got a phone call shortly after the shooting occured.
It was reported that the call was placed between two phones registered to Birdman. Details from an indictment that surfaced last week claimed the calls were made by Jimmy Winfrey, a.k.a. PeeWee Roscoe to Birdman. Shortly before the shooting, Winfrey had been kicked out of the club for harassing Weezy.
Birdman says he will do what he can to help Wayne find out who was behind the incident. Winfrey was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of a firearm by a felon, and criminal gang activity in connection with the tour bus shooting.
