Beyonce pays her respect to Shawty Lo.
Monday night, Beyonce’s Formation World Tour made a stop at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta and paid tribute to Shawty Lo. During her set, Bey and her dancer’s showed off their best moves to Lo’s 2007 hit “Dey Know” blended with her “Diva” anthem. As the tribute to came to an end, King Bey raised her hand to the sky to acknowledge the Bankhead legend. To say the least, the performance was extremely moving.
Last Wednesday, Shawty Lo passed away after being involved in a car accident. The 40 year old rapper was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office stated that Lo’s official cause of death was “blunt force trauma to the head.”
A 911 recording obtained by 11 Alive revealed the following, “No, the person was ejected. We’ve got two females outside the vehicle with some injuries. We can’t advise on what the injuries are; the vehicle is still burning. We have APD units on scene trying to see if there’s anybody else in it, but they can’t hardly get to it.”
