Watson appeared to be targeted, and homicide detectives have launched an investigation. Baltimore police spokesman T.J. Smith stated, “We are making some progress but not as much progress as we would like [in finding a suspect].” The suspect is a black man who was last seen wearing a white bandana. There is no additional information available at this time.
